What is the youngest age that somebody should have implant surgery?

Q. What is the youngest age you would perform an implant on? My daughter is 15 and had to have her front upper tooth removed, we are in the process of having an implant but have just been advised by another dentist that she could still be growing and the implant would be looking shorter than the other teeth by the time she is an adult.,
A. In most cases implantd are best after facial growth has finished and the gum contour has matured. I usually wait till after 18 yrs and use an adhesive bridge and give thought to preserving bone volume till then Rob
