What is the difference between Clearstep and Invisalign?

Q.
CLEARSTEP VS INVISALIGN

I have a few questions about invisible braces:

What are the differences between the two?

How long will it take? I have been prompted to take action as I am getting married at the end of the year and although from the front my teeth look quite straight from the side they look really uneven. If I started it asap would it make much difference by December? I am happy to continue for longer, I would just like some difference by then.

How much does it cost? Which one is more cheap/expensive?

Are the effects lasting? I had a metal brace as a teenager that improved my teeth a bit but I don’t think it was kept on long enough. I would be willing to wear a retainer if it keeps my teeth nice.

Is Clearstep a suitable alternative to cases where Invisalign would work?

Does Clearstep require attachments to the teeth the same as Invisalign?

Could you suggest me a good professional cosmetic dentistry expert in Oxford?

Thank you in advance for your attention

A.
Dear Enquirer,
Clearstep and Invisalign are two different brands that use clear aligners to move teeth into place. If you are getting married in December then you may be leaving it a little late for either system.
You can find providers for both systems in your local area, by going onto their websites…they will direct you to a provider in Oxford. You will need an assessment to give you all the other information as prices are case specific.
Regards and all the best for December.

I have just been quoted £3,500 for a 12month course of ClearStep brace system. this is for both my upper and lower jaw. Can anyone comment if this price is in the right ball park?

Also, is there anyone what can share there experiences of the clearstep system with me? Is it noticable when wearing it? Does it impare speech?

The price is about right. I was charged £4200, for a 12 month course for my top teeth, and a 20 month course for the bottom.
Speech is slightly changed, i cannot say Day over the phone, it sounds like somthing else.
But i do take them out when im in a meeting.
Other than that, i think they are great, but change is slow.

I had braces in the past but now they shifted. My main concern are the front bottom and front teeth – one has overlapped the other and slight protrusion. I was told Simpli5 would only correct the overlapping but not the protrusion. I was recommened braces or invisalign however wondering if clearstep would be a better option, considering its cheaper?

is simpli5 safe for someone who has veneers and crowns? my orthodontist reccomended these however i had another person tell me the tension could pull and or losen my veneers and crowns and i would be better off with a simple retainer, ( looking for treatment to close or stop from getting worse a gap between two front teeth) thats the whole reason i got veneers however they are begining to space again.

You could try aligners they are removable and might work better??

Hi Dr Sepehrara I have been looking the the Simpli5 braces and was wondering if a retainer is required permanently after treatment? I am considering getting braces for my lower teeth as one of them sticks out. I have considered veneers but would rather keep as much of my original teeth as possible. I am not too sure wether it would be considered minor enough for Simpli5, if not, are there any other braces that do not require a permanent retainer? I would like my teeth to be straightened in less than 6 months.

Hi In all cases retainers are required to wear at night time , to avoid relapse. The dentist would discuss the pros and cons of each type of retainer and choose which one is suitable for you.
