What is the cause and what treatment can I have for tiny black dots on upper incisor?

Q.
Hi,
I’m 18 years old and I have had these peculiar two tiny black dots on my upper incisor since I could remember. I’ve been told by a non-professional that too much sugar consumption caused this, however I am not sure. I’ve tried whitening them but it didn’t work as I suspect it is ingrained deep into my tooth. What kind of cosmetic treatment could I have to remove these as I have had them for way too long now?

Thank you and regards.

A.
Dear Enquirer,
Without seeing you it is difficult to give an accurate answer. if the dark dots are due to decay, then you will need to have the decay removed and the cavities filled with a cosmetic filling that matches your tooth. This is a straight forward procedure and is done in one visit.
There is no need to put off treatment if the dark dots are causing you to be self conscious, book an appointment with a dentist for an assessment.
I hope this helps,
Sunita
