What is the best brace for my orthodontic condition and should it come with a retainer?

Q.
hi im looking for advice and help i suffer from cystic fibrosis im 30 years old and years of doing physio and spitting up mucus up my tongue has pushed my top teeth forward i think its called an overbite (buck teeth) i would like to get them sorted i went to two inman aligners dentists one said he could reduce my bite by 80 percent the other one said he couldnt but im worried that i spend the money getting them done my tongue will just push them back and it will be worse if i get a permanant retainer and it will push more teeth out as i heard theres alot of relapses with the inman i was also considering invisalign or six month smile but i havent been to see about them hope you can help thanks .

Dear Enquirer,
No matter which system you use, you will need retention on an ongoing basis to prevent relapse…this is by way of a fixed and/or removable retainer. Once the retainer is in place and is used every day, your teeth will not move. You will have to see an orthodontist who can recommend the right type of braces for you.
