What is the best adhesive for a 4 tooth implant that is loose
Q. have a 4 tooth implant but after about 5 months it becomes loose and needs to be reset. What is the strongest adhesive I should be using or is there a different problem?
A. It is unclear if you are referring to the implants themselves becoming lose or the crowns placed on the implants. Many clinicians place a temporary cement to retain the crowns on the implants so that they can remove the crowns easily during inspection and cleaning. Using a stronger adhesive against your clinicians recommendation will make this more difficult for any dentist and i am sure your dentist may even refuse to offer any guarantee on the future of those implants. If this is a reoccurring problem, it may be worth discussing the option of screw retained crowns which should solve your problem of debonding crowns.
I hope this helps
