Hi, I had a massive overbite and despite wearing an ineffective brace for 2 years aged 12, when is was a very uncool thing to do, my adult top teeth were uneven, very protrusive and very gappy; it is not an understatement to say they dreadfully sapped my confidence and ruined my social life. Despite them being perfectly healthy teeth, I was delighted to have the whole top jaw full removed as a 22 year old wife. At the time, the full denture gave me immeasurable confidence; however, I’m now 59, have been widowed for 13 years but am still alone despite being an attractive and intelligent woman. Though I’ve had very many opportunities I rarely allow myself to get into any close contact with a man; the reason being: I first have to explain I have a denture which is demeaning for me and offputting for them a) because they may find it physically revolting and b) because a lack of confidence is not appealing! Saying nothing and letting them find out at the crucial moment is not an alternative, ergo, I never allow the crucial moment to happen hence I’m still alone! One way or another my teeth have had a massive impact on my life. Well, after much preamble these are my 3 questions: is it possible to have implants to my full top jaw?
Despite the very many shortcomings of the denture it has given my top lip the support which keeps it and my face very youthful. Once I no longer have that support under the whole area of my top lip is it going flatten and then crinkle and wrinkle? I may well find I have the lesser of the two evils?
Last but certainly not least: the cost please?
