What is is the best filling I can have?
Q. i have a chipped tooth, bottom left at the back towards the tongue side.the tooth already has a small filling.i had the chipped tooth filled with a white filling but it came out after 24 hours. i want a filling which is permanent. please give me advice on which is the best filling to have. the dentist has told me that if the filling comes out he will fill it in again.,
A. In my practice I restore back teeth with porcelain if the filling is medium to large – smaller ones can be filled with standard composite filling material. Basically you need to have the whole filling removed and a new one placed – patching you up obviously is not enough
