What is an alveoplasty?
Q. i would like to know what an alveoplasty is exactly, and what i can expect, pain wise, after it’s over. i had an extraction of tooth #18 done 3/18/10, and the site had to be gone into 3 more times due to continual problems i was having. my jaw bone is sticking out of the gum a bit, and i was referred to an oral surgeon. he informed me of what needs to be done, he will file the bone down and check the socket to make sure nothing else is going on, and as a result, this will stir things up again and delay the healing process. what can happen if this isn’t taken care of?,
A. it might carry on being sore but will eventually heal, if your surgeon thinks its best to do something I would take his advice
I had my teeth extracted 6 months ago. I’ve had a very hard time wearing my temporary bottom dentures because the left side of my gum next to the #18 has bone sticking out and its extremely painful. The regular oral surgeon is sending me to an oral surgeon who specializes in this particular problem. So aveoplasty, here I come! The whole thing is that the first oral surgeon told me if I get a infection I could lose the left jaw bone. You see I have no immune system due to my RA medication. I’m very worried.

THE WHOLE COST OF THE TREATMENT I THINK MAYBE WAY TO HIGH JUST ASKING DOES 15000 SOUND RIGHT
