What can you suggest to help me beat my dental phobia so I can receive treatment?

Q.
I haven’t been to a Dentist in 10 years or more. I am very Dentist phobic, I am an ex smoker. My teeth are very stained, I have a huge build up of plaque. I’m pretty sure I have some form of gum disease. I have a couple of teeth that feel as if they are shifting/loosening bottom front. I have a couple of back teeth that are broken. I’m really not sure how many of my teeth can be saved. My Daughter is getting married in August and I really need to get my teeth sorted once and for all. I’m ashamed of the state I have let my teeth get into. Would it be possible to have them all sorted before August if I could pluck up the courage to go. Also would a cosmetic Dentist be able to do the work if most of my teeth couldn’t be saved? Thank you.

My advice is that you seek treatment immediately and choose a good dentist or cosmetic dentist who has experience in handling dental phobics. They should be able to help you with all the problems you have listed. If you have loosening teeth you could have gum disease and this would need urgent treatment.

Best wishes
