What can I do about having a tooth extracted – thus being unable to wear a bridge?

Q.
I am 66 years of age and have a 6 bridge covering the front teeth due to a cricket accident many many years ago. I have now been told that a tooth under the bridge has bad decay and needs to be removed making a bridge impossible. I am uncertain as to the best way forward based on options, appearance and cost. Any advice would be appreciated.
A.
If you can’t have another bridge then your options are implants or a denture.
A denture is a removable device that requires removing for cleaning and at night. there will be some coverage of the roof of your mouth as well. this is the cheapest option.
Implants involve placing 3-4 screws into the bone and then building up with fixed porcelain teeth similar to the ones you have already
