What can be done for lost tooth likely due to bone disease?

Q. I had a tooth extracted last week. It detached itself from the jawbone when I bit on something fairly soft, and I understand this could indicate that the bone is diseased (I’m a 58 year old female). As I live in Germany, I’m due to see my dentist in a week. What issues should I discuss with him? Thanks, in advance Susan Lawson,
A. You should ask him to check all the other teeth and gums to check whether there are any other teeth that need treatment.
