What Can Be Done About the Gap of a Missing Tooth Whilst Waiting for an Implant?
Q.
I need to have left front tooth and one to the left removed due to bone loss (I am under Eastman’s and fanatical about hygiene). However, being a wimp I am struggling with the thought of having the gap – apart from temporary plate, can you suggest ways of coping in the interim of a possible implant, i.e. how do you look in the mirror? I know they need to come out and I am all for it but I can’t get over the distress over what a two teeth gap will look like – I am not vain, but distressed and do not want to talk funny.

Hello, thank you for your question. It might be possible to do an adhesive temporary bridge instead of a plate? Ask your dentist if this is something they offer. Kind regards, Andrew.
