What Are The Risks Of Interproximal Stripping?

Q.
Hi Dr Bohara. I am going to get my teeth sliced so as to have braises on my teeth for 6 months. The doctor has advised me to go for slicing as it is easier and earliest for getting my teeth in good shape. I want to know if there is any risk of getting my teeth sliced like after getting sliced , they will get decay or they will be more prone to risk. Please give me an honest suggestion. I am scared regarding extraction of teeth that is why doctor suggested me to go for slicing. I would be really thankful if u give me a clear picture of What are the Pros & Cons of slicing. Thanks a lot for any help !!

Hi, thanks for your question. When having braces in some cases extractions may be appropriate , in others inter proximal stripping may be a better option. Each patient and case is different. I would recommend you speak to the person who is carrying out your treatment, if you have concerns, as he or she will know the specifics of your case. I hope this helps, regards.
