Q. My top 4 & bottom 4 front teeth are just slightly wonky, they over lap a little, are a bit at an angle & are not centralised. I assume fixed braces are probably the best answer, I was wondering if it makes a difference to the effectiveness of the treatment if you had conventional braces on the outside of your teeth or ‘incognito’ braces where they are on the inside of your teeth. I’d rather have them as inconspicuous as possible, but my main priority is chosing something that will work best. Also what are the chances that once the brace is removed my teeth will just slip back into their old position? when I was young i had a brace to push a tooth forward but 10 years on its fallen back again & conseuently caused the other teeth in that row to go wonky too. thanks in advance for answering my Q
A. Either will work well but you need a proper consultation for your orthodontist to decide whats best. Long-term stability will mean wearing a retainer to prevent the teeth moving later
