what are emax veneers ?

Q. Hi. I recently had 6 upper porcelain veneers done, but am seeking to have 2 of them redone as I am not happy with them. They are emax veneers. Are these the same as the Mac veneers? I am looking for a type which will match my other (emax) veneers. What exactly are emax veneers? Thank you

A. Mac veneers are just a brand name for veneers made by Mac laboratory.  They are usually feldspathic porcelain.  Emax veneers are made from dilithium silicate and ar one of the strongest veneers on the market.  I am tending to fit more Emax veneers due to their high sheer strength.  The aesthetics are superb provided the laboratory has the creative flare.
