Veneers have broken should I consider rebonding a veneer or crown?
Q. Hi Rob, I have several (5) Veneers . They have lasted be for around 15 years. Recently one has broken ( cracked and 1/3 of it fell off). My dentist would like to replace it with a crown as he is concerned about rebonding a veneer. Personally i would prefer another veneer. is there an expert opinion on the pros and cons of this repair
A. There should be no problem rebonding a veneer , maybe there are some other issues. The pro and cons will relate to the subtle details of the individual and you will need a clinical assement for the second opinion. For more details please contact us directlyRob0121 643 0610.

I recently had a root canal treatment [1st stage] and am left with a temporary filling which is fine. The problem is I’ve noticed my new dentist has taken about 1/4 away from the length of my healthy part of the tooth and now it is short. I’m positive that isn’t right and I don’t know what to do about it? I’m also very upset that she removed so much of my healthy tooth. We agreed to use a composite filling directly laid in thin layers as I told her I didn’t want to lose any of my healthy tooth but how will a composite filling replace the length of my tooth that she drilled away? What are my rights here and what is acceptable for me to ask or perhaps even demand so that it can be put right? e.g. She may say I need to pay for a porcelain inlay but I don’t see why I should pay extra and im also scared she may do something else wrong again… Please advise me [she has her own private practice and is the only dentist there. Can I ask for compensation or my money back so I can go elsewhere?
