Two days ago i had my nerve taken out of my bottom front tooth

Q. Two days ago i had my nerve taken out of my bottom front tooth. A temparary partial N.H.S denture has been made for me to wear for three months, until i have a bridge made. I have been very upset, as i cannot keep the denture in my mouth for more than one minute without gagging. Can this be a mind set or a badly made denture.I have had it altered once already. PLease help and advise. I have a big birthday event happening this Saturday.
