Hello. If I was to get braces, would it make my face thinner and less chubbier or make my upper lip bigger? I’ve had braces for the last 1.5 years with no extraction. I had them as my canines made me look like Dracula. I have noticed that the shape of my face has changed quite a lot. Is this because of the braces? Before I had a chubbier face but it’s become thinner. Will my face get back to normal? I miss the structure and shape of my face before I had braces. Thank you for your time. Hello. No, braces only move teeth and don’t radically affect the shape of the face in most people. You should speak to your orthodontist about this issue as it’s difficult to say what has happened without seeing you in person. Have you had any dramatic weight loss over the past year or so?
