Q. Hi, The I burnt the roof of my mouth a week ago, and it is still a bit sore. However, my problem is – that it has caused my 2 front teeth to have a gap between them, where I’m assuming my gums have swollen – pushing my teeth apart. I am really worried that I will be left with a gap between my front teeth forever! Will the gap go once my gums go back to normal, or will I have a gap forever now? What can I do!?
A. I’m not sure if the gap has occured due to the burn in the mouth, this sounds unlikely. Perhaps you should see you dentist for him to check the general condition of the gums in case this is the real problem.
