Q. hi, I’m a 28 year old woman. I have noticed through the years that the enamel has worn away on my two front top teeth and I have a little chip on one of them. No one else in my family has the problem. I do like a fizzy drink and did drink alcho pops a lot when younger… What do you recommend I have done? My dentist said that I could have white fillings on the front of my teeth to protect them and for cheapness or I could have veneers? Obviously they are expensive. How much would it be roughly? I am concerned as they don’t look too nice and would like to get it sorted soon. Thanks
A. Both your dentists options seem OK. White fillings are lower cost initially but tend to loose their surface gloss after a while which leads to staining the lifespan depends on your tea, coffee, red wine, Smoking etc etc. Veneers are less liable to stain and last longer. The fees range a lot between practices expect £350-800 for each veneer and fillings to cost about 1/3 of this
