I’ve done quite a bit of research on orthofill sounds OK except I haven’t had any expert advice I would appreciate some pointers. Also I am a 23 yr old male and have been wanting to fix the problem since my teen years it always embarrassed me. I would love to smile with confidence and would rather not get braces if there is another way being my teeth are really straight other than the gap. Thanks

                                Hi Rob,

I’m a 29 year old male from the East Midlands. I have what i would call severely crooked top teeth. This has had a major impact on my life, from relationships and interviews, to learning to even speak and laugh differently to hide my teeth. My top teeth are crowded and one of the top two front teeth angles back into the mouth and the other protrudes.

I have never been able to afford treatment but have just been made redundant and will be getting a reasonable pay-out, i have decided i want to look into getting my teeth sorted as they make me very unhappy.
Going to the dentist makes me very anxious as i am ashamed of my teeth, i did ask about correcting them a few years ago and was quoted £7500.00 for veneers. Even with my pay-out, this is still a little to much than i can afford.

I was just after advice really, i would rather avoid metal ‘train-tracks’ if possible, but have heard about others such as Clearstep and Inman aligners. From the very basic summary of what i’ve said, and the hindrance of not being able to see my teeth, would you think i can get anything done for say £5000.00? Are braces the best option for me, and will Clearstep or Inman be suitable for my degree of crookedness?
Any help is much appreciated.

Kind regards

                                Dear Dr. Hughes,
I am a 20 year old female. My upper canines have basically been bugging me all throughout my teenage years and whether I like it or not, they make me very self conscious. My left upper canine is very pointy and sort out jolting out, whilst the right one is slightly less ugly but still pointy. I have been to a dentist some years ago who had said I need to get braces but this is an option which I really am not keen on as it would take a long time and I just don’t want them. What other options might there be for me? Would I be able to undergo some form of surgery? It is a dream to ever have a normal healthy-looking smile one day and I really hope braces is not the only option there is out there for me.

Many thanks for your time

Kind regards,

I have bonding on my front four teeth because of poor orthodontic practices. Basically they remove the enamel from my teeth requiring me to have fillings but I wanted it to look nice so I bonded the front four recently. I just had one of them chip. Its minor, just the edge but in trying to not freak out about getting it fixed, I found a lot of people saying that it is really common for them to chip and that even if I get the chip replaced (which I have to, it has left a rough edge) it wont stay very well. Is this true? Veneers are very expensive and require a lot of commitment â seeing as you completely shave off your tooth to put it on. Will bonding at all work as a long term solution? I just need some advice please.

I have twice had my top front teeth treated, the last time (about 10 years ago) when I had a veneer on one tooth to bring it into line and a crown on the other one because it was crooked. However I have always thought this crown was quite large and didn’t look right – this was made obvious when none of my friends ever mentioned that I’d had anything done! I would like to have something done with this top tooth but don’ t know what – my dentist who is new to the surgery suggests visalign on my top and bottom but I cant afford it – a few hundred is my lot! I have thought about having them all out and a set of dentures – my husband isn’t happy! My bottom teeth (although I have had teeth whitening treatment on them) are still marked on the very bottoms Should I just give up at my age?
