what is the time for my adult teeth to erupt after losing baby teeth?

Saturday, August 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi I’m 15 and still had two baby teeth (my canines). I got xrays and it revealed that my adult teeth were sort of coming in.. So my orthodontist recomended i get them pulled so i did. Its been about 1 month since i’ve gotten them pulled, i can see them through my gums and they hurt a bit when i touch that area. I was wondering how long they will take to erupt? or what is the average time for them to erupt after losing your baby teeth? Also i will be seeing my ortho in about 2 weeks. But i reeeaallly want to know if i could get braces with even my adult teeth missing? ( JUST THOSE TWO ) Thanks

My upper teeth is getting extracted and im scared to death can u help?

Saturday, August 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Moore, I am a 57 year old Black-American female with what has been diagnosed as MS. As a child I never went to the dentist and did very little to take care of my teeth besides brushing. Now I need teeth and am contemplating having all my upper teeth extracted and getting a plate and a bridge. My concern is not only that I’m scared to death, but will I be able to tolerate the surgery, recover and that they won’t pull out my brains, memory what strength I do have with the teeth? Can you help? Sincerely,

My son baby teeth is still strong without sign of being absorbed advice

Friday, July 31st, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Moore, My son is almost 10 year old and today his dentist told me that he may need to pull out two of his baby teeth because the adult teeth are underneath and one of the roots of the baby teeth are still showing strong without sign of being absorbed. I am wondering if the pulling is necessary (a must) because I would prefer waiting for them naturally fall off rather than the manual intervene. Can you give me some advices on which way is the best for my son? thanks

HI i was wondering if you could give me some advise as to sorting my teeth out. the top four front teeth have really started to get me down recently. my top front INCISORS are crooked and one is pertruding over the other which is very noticable from the side, and my two CANINES, at either side, are both very discoloured. i have had fillings in both of them years ago, and now they look like the filling is sort of roting away, they are brown and grey in colour. i am a 24 yr old single mum of one and currently at college full time,so receiving benifits and i have looked into prices to get it done privatly but obviusly with the money i get disappointly i cannot afford it, so i was wondering if you knew of any help i maybe able to get towards sorting my teeth out? thanks you

Ive split cracked root of my root filled teeth is extraction the only option?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009
Q.
I have lost the filling from a large molar tooth at the very back of my mouth. In the process I have split/cracked the root of apreviously root filled tooth. I expected a crown but my dentist feels extraction is the only option. What do you think? I am concerned as most of my mouth has had extensive work and I feel that extraction is the beginning of the end!!
