Hi, I recently chipped my upper right front tooth. My local dentist has now seen to it using a bonding agent and the appearance of my tooth is great, exactly the same as before. But now it has got me thinking of using the same thing for the rest of my teeth to improve the overall appearance. I have slight gaps between a few of my upper teeth which does leave me quite paranoid. Would you recommend bonding on the rest of the teeth? I’m just slightly worried that I’ll have to keep having the treatment replaced and that I’ll have to lose a lot of tooth structure. I think it would be better if all my teeth matched up perfectly too as the new bonding is slightly brighter than the rest of my teeth but only I can notice it. Any help would be appreciated. The problem is that one of the teeth has a large white filling and I want to change both. However, I don’t want to lose even a little of the structure of the teeth. Wednesday, October 31st, 2012I had my teeth whitened using custom made trays from my dentist. I was bleaching my teeth overnight with 10% & 16% carbamide gel for 3 weeks. My teeth looked great, but 24 hours after finishing the treatment, two front teeth are streaky and discoloured ( yellowish streaks and yellowish stains along the very edge of my teeth. I ate WHITE food only and brushed after every meal. Further bleaching will remove all the staining, but every time I stop, the same thing happens. Only my upper teeth are affected.

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010My 7 year old bumped heads today with a classmate and one upper front tooth and two lower front teeth have been chipped. We have been to the dentist who has said it is only enamel which has been chipped and they are confident there are no fractures, The lower teeth are too sensitive at present to bond with composite filling – it will have to wait til next week. I cannot help but feel saddened that he has chipped his permanent second teeth, Is the composite material hard wearing, natural looking and the best option at present?
