I grind my teeth very badly, and wake up with aching teeth. It has been suggested i get my self a bite plate for the night-time. Could you advise me where i can get one of these, without necessarily going through my dentist Kind regards

I suffer from bruxism and have ground down my incisors

Hello Dr Solanki, I suffer from bruxism and have ground down my incisors quite a bit. My NHS dentist seems to be unconcerned with this, but I would like them repairing as I am quite concious of how they look. I’m wondering, can this be done and how much would it cost to be done privately? Thanks.

I look toothless when I smile

Bit of a strange question-When i smile you can only see the very tips of my teeth and it sometimes looks like i’m toothless, i am wondering if tooth bonding to lengthen my teeth slightly, because some of my teeth are slightly position higher than others would work or could you please suggest a device that could make my teeth more visable, please could you help i am tired of just living with it, thankyou so much i would be so grateful if you replied.

My front teeth are short due to grinding and biting my nail

My two bottom front teeth are very short, I think due to a habit of gritting my teeth (which I still do) and from biting my nails when I was younger. They are not unsightly and I do not have any problems with them but I wonder if they should be protected to prevent decay?

what can go wrong with dental veneers

I have just visited a private dentist who told me that veneers would last 15-20years and cost about 7k, is this correct? After this time do the veneers fall off and what will my teeth look like then? Should I visit more than one dentist to gain a 2nd opinion? What can go wrong with this procedure.

I Have bad teeth gum disease wear and grinding TMJ problems

Hi. I’ve very self conscious about my smile. I’ve always had problems with my teeth over the years. When I was younger I had many teeth out and they were never replaced. Since the age of 4 I have grinded my teeth with has caused wear on my teeth. Within the last year I tempted to visit the dentist again and he confirmed I had gum disease. I had treatment for this which was quite painful. The reason I went to the dentist is because I wanted my teeth straight as my bite is out of alignment and I thought it would help me with the grinding. The dentist told me I couldn’t have a brace as my teeth would probably fall out. I’m not sure now what to do, I’m very self conscious about what I look like and my two front teeth protrude. Also my jaw clicks so I think I might have TMJ. I have a real fear of the dentist as the ones I have been to have made me feel bad and haven’t been able to give me options to straighten my teeth. Do you have any advice?

Several of my front teeth are worn from grinding can I get my teeth whitened

I grind my teeth and several of my front teeth are wearing. I wanted to first get my teeth whitened before I did anything else, the dentist told me that due to having antibiotics as a child this wasn’t possible and I therefore would need 10 veneers on top and 10 on the bottom. The thought of having so many veneers scares me and its also extremely expensive, can teeth affected by antibiotics be whitened?
