Dr. Safeer i am 48 years old male having the some problems in my upper teeth. Some gapes occurred on both the sides of my teeth. Food particles cause severe pain. when i clean this by tooth picks or thread pain subside very quicly. i brush two times daily after my lunch and dinner. plz advice what to do . reaching mumbai 0n 02/05/2011

hi i have a brace fitted and two missing teeth at the front of my mouth, i had an x-ray because my adult teeth was’nt appearing, the dentist said ther was no teeth in my gums. The authadontist said i need to start looking around for what i want to do with the gaps once my braces are off. could you tell me whats available please and what the best thing to do is as im only 17my family dont want me to have bridges and ruin the teeth i do have. I am 29yr old male. I have had braces for 1 yr now on lower teeth with 1 extraction-second molar on my left. This was to correct and straighten my teeth. I am noticing a thinning of my face – making it look narrow. Everyone keeps saying ‘you have lost weight’ but I have not. My ortho says it cannot be braces, as only jaw surgery can change my jawline. I am very worried. Is he right? What can I do? He is moving my back teeth to cover the gap from the extraction. Thank you.

Q.

I have a missing near-front tooth, which was originally replaced with a bayonet fitting into the root canal. This has now gone and root removed. I feel reluctant to have the two teeth either side ground down as the means to provide anchor points. Do I have any other options without tampering with and ‘destroying its ‘neighbours’?
