My daughter is 16 and has had fixed braces twice now for protruding front teeth. after the first time she was told to wear retainers only in the evening for a year. during this year i noticed that her teeth had moved to their previous position before braces. after complaining to the orthodontists he again fitter fixed braces for a year after pulling 4 teeth. he has now taken the fixed braces off and given her the invisalign to wear only at night. she has been wearing the invisalign for 4 months and her teeth have moved forward again. he says that it is acceptable for them to protrude 4mm but i feel that after all this treatment they should be in line with the back teeth and not protrude at all. is 4mm acceptable or should she have further treatments? is invisalign the right way to go?

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 hi i was just wondering if you could hep me. I am currently 27 years old and am unhappy with my teeth due to the fact that i was a thumbsucker untill about the age of 23. Although i had a brace as a child so do have quite straight teeth i can see that they are now further frward than they were and wondered if its possible to get them pushed back at all or what options there wud be to deal with them. As i say i have only had slight movement from one of my teeth in terms of crossing and do therfore have a straight smile but just generally would like them moving back si they are less dominant as i only have a fairly small face..
Any advise or help would be appreciated thankyou.
Why Are My Teeth Coming Forward?
Tuesday, January 15th, 2013Dear Dr. Moore,Greetings of the day!!Dr. I have had crooked teeth and so presently m undergoing ortho treatment since last 1 month. My age is 27 years. I have got self ligating brackets with IPR and no extraction. But now i feel my upper teeth are coming forward. I am kind of worried that this is not part of the process of aligning and that something is going wrong?? I know you must be thinking why I am not consulting my orthodontist doctor.. And that’s true. And I will be doing but still, for my own satisfaction I want to know. Hope you will help me and can give me some answers!! Thanking you in anticipation. I look forward to reading your response.
