Hi, hopefully you can give me some advice with some dental issues I’m having. I had a veneer fitted on a top front tooth back in January, and the dentist who did it managed to damage the tooth to the extent that I needed a root canal treatment done – this was done at the end of March. Since then the pain has improved but is still present; the tooth can be tender to bite down on (but not always) and the front surface is often (but again not always) sensitive/tender to light pressure. Tapping on the tooth is much better than it was previously. I am also having some pain in the gum between the front tooth and the one to the right – my dentist can see nothing wrong with the gum but it is frequently slightly painful and can swell slightly first thing in the morning/on eating. I don’t know if this is likely to be from the tooth or from an internal infection. I appreciate this is a lot to describe and expect you to comment on, but any advice would be appreciated. Because there are no obvious issues my dentist does not seem in a hurry to try to fix anything, but these issues are now having an effect on my mental health.
Thanks

                                Dear Rob,

I had my teeth whitened recently (using an in-office method which I was told is similar to Zoom whitening but not quite the same as it uses LED lighting) and the experience was so painful I had to interrupt the treatment mid-way. Despite this, my gums turned very white and, although they are now pink again, they are extremely painful and there is a layer of pale skin on my gums which is peeling away and bleeding. What should I do? Please help, I am very worried. I bought Corosodyl to use but since it is coloured (and my discolour my teeth at this stage) I am rincing my mouth with salt and water. Is there anything else I should be doing? Will this cause my gums to recede?

Many thanks in advance,
