My teeth are badly stained by tetracycline, can I get veneers through the NHS?

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, My teeth are badly stained by tetracycline, and have been since I was a child. This has affected my confidence for a very long time now. Would I be entitled to veneers on the NHS as this seems to be the only way to have anything resembling a white smile.,

What is the best cosmetic treatment for aging teeth?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010
Q.
Dr Moore, I have always had an attractive smile with little cosmetic denistry except the relacement my old silver fillings with white ones. I am now 60 and my teeth are becoming more translucent, my fillings and caps are all different shades and stained and I am very unhappy with how my smile is changing. I have tried bleaching to little avail. What is the best cosmetic treatment for aging teeth. I feel removing my old caps, applying veeners and other options will destroy the integity of my teeth and, as I contiune to age, cosmetic treatments will look good initially but be worse in the long run. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.,

I’m not sure how to approach teeth whitening treatment, what do you suggest?

Q.
I am living in Leicester at the moment and coming to my final year at University. My teeth over the last few years have become a little stained through various drinks even though I look after my teeth very well. I was thinking of having or getting them whitened but not sure about how to approach it and what is available. Many thanks,

Is there any treatment available to remove the stains on my teeth?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr Bohara, I wish to get my teeth whitened which have become stained due to chewing of paan -parag (betel nuts + catechu). The stains are of exogenous nature and even deep scaling and polishing have failed to lighten the colour. I have given up chewing paan parag for over 3 months now. Pls could you advise what the best course of treatment will be at a reasonable cost. Are home kits any good? Thanks, Laxmikant,
