What treatment would be the best for me ? I really hate how I now look and have lost my confidence. If possible could you give me some information of the approximate cost of any recommendation you make. I have 10 lower teeth ,having lost the back ones about the same time. I have tried hard to look after what I was born with but inherited poor quality teeth and then having 2 children in early forties took it’s toll. I would be very grateful for any advice. Hi, Just before Xmas i had a tooth prepared for a Crown. My Dentist didnt place a temporary on as “your gum is a bit sore wont put temporary on to give it time too heal”. What with the Xmas period and not having the money to pay the remaining balance I went back 5 weeks later to have the Crown fitted. When I went back the Dentist said “just going to remove the temporary”. I told her she never put one on and she did seem slightly surprised. She’d obviously forgot she’d not put one on… Sorry this is long winded..Now i have sensitivity to hot and cold and have an awful taste and smell coming from that area. Is this because the crown doesnt fit properly as my teeth shifted from not having a temporary on? That is a guess but obviously I would value yr professional opinion. Please help as iv’e paid £400 for this treatment and now have sensitivity and smelly breath that i didnt have before!!,

Dear Dr Tennet, For as long as I can remember I have suffered from bruxism. I sleep with a nightguard which my NHS dentist made for me but my gums seem to be receeding as a result of the grinding, which I think has now led to gum disease, and my upper anterior teeth are becoming very thin and I’m terrified of them snapping off altogether. I’m only 27 and hate my smile. My teeth seem to be wearing down and decaying very quickly and I’m terrified of having to wear a denture. Do you think crowns and possibly gum grafts may help me? I really don’t want to lose my teeth and my NHS dentist doesn’t seem to care.
