Would Braces Be Able To Help Me Now Instead Of Cosmetic Work?

Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013
Q.

Hi, I would like to ask a question regarding orthodontic treatment I had done when I was younger through the NHS, I had braces in for a few years and even had two top teeth taken out to make room for my teeth whilst my braces were on to straighten my teeth, after few years my teeth didn’t straighten much and I was told this was because I have baby roots and due to this my teeth aren’t moving therefore my braces were removed and I had fillings put in, in a few places in my teeth to get rid of gaps etc due to my teeth being takin out. I never had a gap in my front two teeth,  but because I wore braces I now have a big gap and they always need to fill this in and say to me this is classed as cosmetic work and i keep explaining I never had a gap and it was caused by the orthodontic treatment which never worked, also the filling they put in only lasts few months and I have to keep getting this done, what I need to know is have you ever heard of baby roots and was this the case and if I did have them would braces still not work now that I’m 34, and what can I do to avoid paying for cosmetic work which wouldnt have needed doing if I didn’t have orthodontic treatment. many thanks

My tooth keeps breaking. Do I have te get dentures and gan it be done cheaply?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010
Q.

I have a several teeth missing at the side, broken when a tooth was removed and the upper front four are crowned. They are big, ugly and uneven. The biggest problem is one of the upper front incisors, it has a post in the root, and has been glued back four times now, it has just come loose again. My dentist has about given up and says the root is fractured, my only option is dentures. I can’t afford huge amounts for more work, but I do have dental insurance that works with NHS funding. Is there anything that can be done?

What procedures are available to reconstruct my broken teeth?

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Q.
Hi. I have fron teeth with two upper ones broken at gum level. No others except some broken gum level side ones. I had a dental bridge about a year ago but it fell off and the teeth under it are now at gum level and black. I’m diabetic and horrified of visiting a dentist because i don’t know what is going to happen. Kindly let me know of the procedure that will be followed and if I will be able to have clip ons or will all my teeth have to be pulled out? Many thanks for your help.,

What is the most likely procedure for a broken tooth?

Thursday, April 8th, 2010
Q.
I had an accident where i fell into a brick wall and smashed my face – breaking my front tooth in half in the process! With it being th eEaster bank hoiday i have had to go to an emergency detist who has temporarily dressed it until my regular one is open on Tuesday. The two teeth eith side of the damaged tooth are now very sensitive and one appears wobbly. They did an x-ray and said that the roots were not damaged. Please can you tell me what the most likely proceedure will be as i have never had to have any work done before and im very apprihensive?,
