Hello, I have just had my bottom brace taken off and as was done with the top teeth, a fixed retainer was put in on the back of the front 4 teeth (on front 4 of top and of bottom teeth) and a mould was taken of the teeth for a plastic brace. My invisalign brace is supposed to arrive within 7 days but I am going on holiday for a week and am worried that the extra week of not wearing the invisalign will cause my teeth to move and the removable brace not to fit anymore. Will i have any problems with my removable retainer if i don’t wear it till 2 weeks after the fixed brackets were removed (keeping in mind that i have the fixed retainers on the back)??? Thank you for your advice.

Will my teeth move back into their original position if I don’t wear my Invisalign braces for 2 weeks?
Tuesday, July 10th, 2012I had the 6 Month Braces but my teeth have moved back to their original positions, why has this happened?
Tuesday, July 10th, 2012I had six month braces on my teeth for about 7months and followed up with bonding on the top and retainer on the bottom. The teeth were beautiful — for about 3 months. The top teeth moved within the first few months; the bonding was removed and replaced with a retainer. I wore my retainers all of the time except while eating for the first one and a half years. The teeth have moved a lot and now I feel the top front are protruding and my bite has changed. I am very unhappy and concerned about this. I still wear the retainer and the retainers are now plastic; they crack frequently and the cost is $50.00 for each replacement, the last one only lasted about 3 weeks. This has been costly but more importantly, my teeth are still moving and not in a good way. I am 55 so I;m afraid that this option should never have been done on my teeth. I would like to hear your thoughts on these concerns. thank you.
My teeth have relapsed after my Inman Aligner treatment, what should I do?
Tuesday, April 24th, 2012Hi. 18 months ago I began to wear an inman aligner. After about 10 months I was happy with the movement of my teeth. My dentist fitted me with a fixed retainer. My teeth began to quickly move back. It was removed and a new retainer was provided – which I wore at night. Again my teeth began to move. A second retainer was made. This one doesn’t fit and hurts my gums. I keep going back to my final aligner to keep my teeth in position – but they don’t look as straight as they did when my treatment had finished. In summary – I’m really disappointed in this drawn out treatment that isn’t working. Please can you tell me what you think I should do and what my rights are in terms of getting a refund? Thanks.
I have damaged my retainers, can I get them replaced?
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011Dr Butt. I have damaged my bonded and plastic retainers ovewr time from ortho treatment but the orthodontic practice where I had the treatment are refusing to help fix them based on the grounds that I am discharged from their care. Will any other orthodontic practice be able to help although I wasn’t treated there? I’m freaking out as I don’t want my teeth moving and the orthodontist who straightened my teeth years back is now retiring. Thanks
One of my teeth has shifted since I’ve had my braces off, how can I fix this?
Thursday, November 18th, 2010Hi Dr I have had the whole process of braces in my teens. I did everything that the dentist told me but for a few years now one tooth had started to move back. Just to let you know its the tooth next to the front two teeth, I think it is called the lateral incisor? I have visited the dentist for several check up’s and every time she says there is nothing that she can do to move the tooth forward to its original position.Overall I have nice teeth but its that one tooth that makes my whole smile look wonky. What do you think I should do? Thank you,
I wear a permanent retainer but my teeth no longer seem straight. Should I get a removable retainer to wear at night?
Monday, August 9th, 2010I’m 20, I had braces for 8 years, and have had them off since I was 15. I have a permanent retainer on the top and bottom, but I have noticed my top teeth are no longer straight. I don’t know if it’s because my wisdom teeth are coming in (because i’m around the right age for that) or what’s going on? Should i go to my dentist to get a removable retainer to wear at night?,

What are the orthodontic treatment options suitable for me?
Thursday, May 6th, 2010Im 18 and my gums are receiding and my teeth aren’t stable, they wobbly. At the moment I wear a retainer because if I take it out, I’ll have gaps between my front teeth. I don’t want to keep wearing a retainer, or have gaps. I want to be able to have a nice smile with nice teeth. But I don’t know what options I have/,
