Hi, I saw the work that you did on the lady on This Morning. I have had numerous problems with my top teeth for years – numerous crowns and bridges and now a tooth on a plate. I am 55 years old but have kept myself in fairly good condition on the whole.I am very embarrassed about my teeth. I have never let my partner see me without my teeth in. I have had many problems with my gums also. I have even glued my teeth back in, desperate measures I know, but I was abroad at the time and that seemed the only solution. I have recently given up smoking to help with my health and gums too. I have had a quote for implants which was well out of my means. Please could you help? Many thanks.

The Quote I’ve Been Given for Implants is Too Expensive, What Should I Do?
Wednesday, June 10th, 2015I Have A Large Overbite Which Is Going To Cause Me Problems In The Future. Will The NHS Provide Me With Orthodontic Treatment?
Friday, October 24th, 2014Hello Marcus. I have a large overbite which causes me real unhappiness. I feel ugly and embarrassed and paranoid that people laugh at me this is really getting me down. My dentist has said it will cause me problems in the future because my bottom teeth hit my gums. I don’t have a bite. I bite with the side of my mouth. Is there anyway I could have orthodontic treatment on the NHS as I’m not in a position to pay thousands of pounds, if I was I would get it sorted tomorrow. Thank you for you time.
How Long Would It Take To Get A Nice, White, Straight-Toothed-Smile? How Long Would This Take?
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014Hi there, Dr Hughes. I have horrible crooked yellow teeth. How much would it cost to get a nice, white, straight-toothed-smile? Do you have finance plans or would the fee have to be paid in one payment? What kind of time scale would something like this take from start to finish? Where is your surgery? I would be more than happy to send some pictures of my teeth if that would help with the quotation! Thank you.
My Front Teeth Have Developed Very Large Gaps In Between Them. Could I Have This Problem Resolved Via The NHS?
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014 Hello Marcus, I would like some advice please.
My 4 top front teeth have developed very large horrible gaps in between them.
They look very horrible and noticeable. They are getting me down and people are staring at them and making horrible remarks about them.
I no longer smile or laugh as my teeth would be on show.
Can I have this problem resolved via the NHS as I am on certain benefits that exempt me from usual dentist treatment.
Many thanks.
I Wear Dentures Which Make Me Look Older. How Expensive Are Dental Implants?
Monday, October 20th, 2014Hello Dr Gambroudes. I am 34 and I’ve been left with no teeth. I am currently wearing a denture but it’s feels like my face is already making me a lot older than what I am I am so down but I have been to a few dentist and they said I would be a perfect fit for dental implants as I have good bone structure but I’m currently on benefits due to back pain is the procedure expensive for upper and lower implants. Thank you.
My Front Tooth Fell Out Recently After Having Root Canal Treatment To Clear The Decay Out. Can I Get A Cut Price Deal To Sort This?
Friday, October 17th, 2014Hi Marcus. My front tooth has recently come out, and about a year ago I went to the dental university in agony as half of it had broken due to decay inside my tooth, they performed a root canal on that tooth and over the months it got worse. The colour of the tooth was black. It was not attractive to look at at all. I work less than 13 hours a week and I am desperate for dental work but I just cannot afford to pay up to £3000, as I just don’t have that kind of money. I was wondering if dentists did a price plan with patients who are on a low wage/income as I cannot stay looking like this and I need my smile back.
I Have Had A Discoloured Bridge For The Past 20 Years. Is There Anyway To Whiten This To Match The Shade Of My Other Teeth?
Tuesday, September 30th, 2014Hi Marcus, I have a bridge which is over 20 years old and it has never been as white as my natural teeth. I cannot afford to have a new one made at this time. Is there any way in which I could get it whitened as it is making me very depressed as it looks awful. Also, my dentist told me it would be a lot of work to go through to have a new bridge, which scares me. It would be great if there was some way of just whitening it. Please let me know if there a cosmetic procedure I could have without loads of pain. Thank you.
The Enamel On My Friends Teeth Has Come Off After Taking Tablets. What Can Be Done To Help Her?
Thursday, September 25th, 2014Hello Dr Gambroudes. I have a friend who because she has taken tablets the enamel on her teeth has all come off and her confidence has totally gone with it. She won’t go out and this is the reason as she doesn’t want anyone to see her. She is not working and claims benefits so really can’t afford much. Can you help and advise me please as to where to go from here to help her? I hope you can offer your advice. Many thanks.
