Q.

My son is 19 mons. when his two frunt teeth come in inverted. I took him to the dentest she said that he needed to have filled and caps on, and that his two roots were growing into one. He was about 15 mon when we went in and put him under she told me that this was something that had to be done. She made him his own caps. He came out doing ok and well he didnt look to bad.we went back to see her about 6 month later and he said that everything was good! Well about a month or little longer his mouth was swolen he was not eating and it was causing him pain. We went back to that some doctor and she said that he has gotton some food up in his teeth/ gum and i caused it to get infected. So, today we went back to the hospitle and he filled his teeth down to the nerv and put the caps on that had that have the silver backing. When he came out he was in pain she waid that she could not get thim even. Im wondering if any of this even needed to be done if she was just wanted the money. Its so much and he is so little. If you could pleace help me and my son i dont want to have to go throu more with this Dr if i cant trust her. Ifeel like i put my child all through this and i dont even know if he needed it thank you so much for your time.

Can my toddler have his chipped tooth filled in?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010
Q.
My 18 month old son fell and chipped one of his front teeth last night. There was no bleeding from the tooth or gums that we could see. He did cut his lip a little, but the bleeding stopped in a minute or so. From a cosmetic point, will a pediatric dentist attempt to fill a chipped tooth on a toddler, or is this something we’ll just have to live with until it falls out in a few years? Thanks!,

Are there any solutions available for the decay of childrens teeth?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010
Q.
is this available in this the uk: Dr. Elliott D. Maser, D.D.S., M.Sc.D., a board certified pediatric dentist from Bensalem, Penn., has been in private practice treating children for almost 30 years and has seen children with various cosmetic problems. “A child that has baby bottle tooth decay, for example, can have their anterior or front teeth restored with white composite crowns to make the teeth look normal again,” he says my 3 yr old has decay of top front 4 teeth and we have been looking for a solution.,

What can be done for 18 month child with lack of teeth due to genes?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, I just took my 18 month old son to the dentist following his pediatrician’s advice. He only has his two front teeth, and they are spaced widely apart and misshapen. After taking an x-ray, the dentist confirmed that my son had very few baby teeth and even less permanent teeth. He told my husband and I that we are facing a long road filled with dental and orthodontic procedures that will cost us several thousand dollars. I was more concerned about an underlying condition that may have caused such a rarity. The dentist convinced me that it was just a case of bad genes ( i had vaguely similar problems). He also told me that not much could be done to correct his teeth now. My husband and I are so fearful that he will be ridiculed and excluded in school if nothing is done to help him. I read that implants are not a consideration for young children. We are awaiting an appointment with an oral surgeon, but in the meantime, can you tell me what our other options are? Thanks.,
