Would Veneers Be An Option for Overlapping Teeth?

Tuesday, April 21st, 2015
Q.

When I was 14 I got taken to an orthodontist after waiting four years to see one. After that they kept cancelling and delaying appointments for a whole year. When I eventually got to speak to the team they told me I shouldn’t get braces and I wouldn’t benefit from them, after five years of waiting. I’m now older and want straight teeth. I wouldn’t say they are that bad but I’m extremely conscious and want them fixed. My two front upper teeth overlap. My right one over laps the left one slightly. My upper jaw is also “too short” as the team at the orthodontist told me. I was wondering if it would be possible to have veneers for my two upper teeth and what the price would be, roughly?

What is a Cheap and Effective Way to Straighten and Whiten One Tooth?

Wednesday, April 8th, 2015
Q.

I have a grey front tooth, due to a dentist missing a problem, which is also overlapping my other front tooth. I’m wondering what procedure would be recommended to straighten and whiten it. I’ve heard of extraction and a fake one screwed in and was wondering about an estimated price as I’m on benefits and it’s affecting my smile and meeting new people as I don’t like it at all. Please, is there any way I could sort this problem out in a cheap and effective way?

Why Do My Teeth Ache all the Time?

Friday, March 6th, 2015
Q.

Hi. I have been having some problems with my teeth now for some time, probably nearly a year. They ache and hurt all the time it seems. Due to this my teeth have started to move; my two front teeth now overlap causing a gap between the others next to it. I was told by the dentist this was normal and due to my jaw changing shape and my teeth rearranging to suit, but I was told it may last years and come and go. I am getting really worried now that the pain is not going to go and my teeth are going to be even less straight then they already are, and overlap further. I am also worried it’s not even this and it’s something else and my teeth might become loose and fall out.

What Treatment is Best for Overlapping Teeth?

Friday, February 20th, 2015
Q.

Hey there,

I’m looking into getting my teeth fixed. I have two pushed out canines, which due to them being pushed out, has ultimately left the remaining teeth being pushed to the side. One of my two main teeth is now overlapping the other. The bottom teeth are not great but i am less bothered by those as I am the top teeth. I’m looking for the fastest and most effective way of getting this sorted avoiding standard metal braces across the front of me teeth.
Can you help?

All the best, thanks.

Will Invisible Braces be Suitable for my Overlapping Teeth?

Thursday, January 8th, 2015
Q.

Hi Dr Hughes. I’m 56 years old and have just over the last few years noticed that my teeth are starting to overlap. I think it is my incisors on both sides, although one side is worse than the other. I really need some advice please. I am wanting to know if you think having cosmetic surgery will be a better solution for me due to my age, or will the invisible braces be more suitable for me? Please get back to me soon, thanks for your help.

My Bottom Tooth Is Slightly Further Back Than The Rest Of My Teeth. Is There Anything That Can Move This Forward?

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014
Q.

My bottom front tooth is slightly further back than the rest of my teeth and I was wondering if there is and procedure or technique that can be used to push it forward? I would rather not have braces as it’s only one tooth that needs to move and I am very happy with the rest of my teeth; although one of my top front teeth slightly overlaps the other. My top teeth really don’t bother me as much as the bottom one. I’m 21 and would like the least painful most cost effective treatment possible. Would a spring retainer be useful in this situation?

I Have An Overlapping Front Tooth. Could You Tell Me If Simpli5 Braces Could Fix This Problem?

Tuesday, August 19th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr Moore. I have a question that I hope you can answer. My front tooth stick’s out further than the other and is overlapping the other tooth. It has pushed my other front tooth backwards. So basically my main front two teeth both need to be straightened. Would Simpli5 braces fix this? What does the procedure involve? It really annoys me and I’d like it fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

Is The Inman Aligner Available On The NHS If You’re Under 18? I Need Quick Orthodontic Treatment Over The Summer Holidays?

Monday, August 18th, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Patel. I have a simple question for you. Can you get an Inman Aligner on the NHS if you’re under 18? I wouldn’t be able to go to so many orthodontist appointments with school and exams so a quick treatment that would be mostly in the summer holiday would be ideal and my family aren’t able to pay for over £1000 for them. I’m really self-conscious about smiling and even talking because you can just see points of my teeth. Also can Inman Aligners push front teeth together and fix the left incisor overlapping with a front tooth? Thank you for getting in touch.

I Have Teeth Which Are Overlapping And I’m Wondering Which Discreet Braces Would Be Suitable?

Monday, July 14th, 2014
Q.

Hi Andrew. Just wondering which treatment would be best. My top two front teeth overlap and the teeth next to them the teeth are larger than my others with one straighter and the other a bit slanted. This also makes the third tooth and my fangs on each side stand out more and makes them look a lot larger and the second tooth on both sides go back a bit. These are the only problems with my teeth which I want straightened. The rest of my mouth is fine, it’s just my teeth are always on show. So I would like to know the quickest and best procedure and also maybe the cheapest. Which adult brace procedure do you recommend by this information? Thank you.

I Didn’t Think My Teeth Would Move Back After I Had My Retainer In For So Long. How Can I Straighten My Front Teeth?

Thursday, May 22nd, 2014
Q.

Hello Dr Hughes. I need two teeth straightening, the front left tooth and one next to. One has moved back and the other has moved forward and is starting to overlap the other front tooth. I have previously had braces, and I lost my retainer. I didn’t think they would move back because of how long I had the retainer in for. The one tooth seems to be moving back even more so I wanting it sorted out as soon as possible. I don’t want to spend a great deal but I would like it sorted as it’s affecting my self confidence?
Many thanks.
