6 month smiles clinic london

Saturday, September 27th, 2008
Q.
I am 28 years old and in need of orthodontic treatment to correct overcrowding of teeth in my upper jaw (due to a narrow arch). Because of my age (and the social stigma of traditional braces) I am looking for a subtle treatment that is also as quick as possible – I am not looking for a “Hollywood Smile” just the confidence to smile that I haven’t had for a decade. I do not have the budget to spend more than about £3,000. I read about the “6 month smile” treatment on www.cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk and yours is the only UK clinic listed as providing the service. I live in London – please can you recommend a clinic that offers the treatment in London? Many thanks

My son aged 13 saw his orthodontist today

Sunday, September 21st, 2008
Q.
Hi there. My son aged 13 saw his orthodontist today to have part of his fixed brace fitted (he already wears a twin-block). After having the fixed brace fitted he passed out when he stood up (he’s always been anxious about his teeth). On the way home part of the brace came away from his teeth so took him back to ortho and my son was so anxious he would not let the orthodontist glue the brace back on or take it off completely. The orthodontist called my son a pathetic baby and said “I don’t want him fainting again all over the place”. All this is bad enough but now he has a fixed brace, part of which is not fixed anymore and the only way he will have it removed is under anaesthetic. Where can we have this done? Would the local hospital do it for him? I am so very upset at the lack of understanding from the otrthodontist that we have decided not to go ahead with anymore treatment.

My upper teeth are crooked and twisted but cannot have metal braces will invisalign work

Saturday, May 31st, 2008
Q.
My upper teeth care slightly crooked at the front. I had braces as a child but have been told that the orthodondist used old fashioned techniques that often go wrong. The two teeth immediately on either side of my two front teeth are slightly twisted round and sit a bit behind them. I have attempted braces about a year ago but as an adult can’t really deal with having them, not being able to speak etc. However, I really want straight teeth (especially having already gone through so much pain, extractions etc to get them!). Do you think the invisalign braces would work for me? Thanks in advance.

My fixed retainer came off and my gap between my front teeth opened

Sunday, February 24th, 2008
Q.
As a child I wore a fixed retainer for 18 months to close a gap between my two front teeth, a fixed retainer was also placed on the back of the teeth to prevent it reopening in the future. However the retainer on the back came off, my dentist took it off completely as he said there was no point replacing it. Since the gap has opened slightly. I will not wear a fixed retainer again would there be any other way to close the gap and prevent it reopening? I have an appointment with an orthodontist but it is expensive and I really don’t want to go if the only option would be to wear a fixed retainer. Thanks
