How Should I Tackle The Gap Between My Incisors?

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr, I am 34yrs old female.I will describe my most problematic area which is my top row only, please tell me what is the best option for me. I have the widest gap between my two central incisors. I can fit a pen through this gap. My right lateral incisor is missing, it has always been like that I did not do an extraction. My left lateral incisor position is occupied by a small baby tooth, strange but true . Do you think a snap on smile would be right for me and what cost will I be looking at ? Am only asking about the top row. I have never smiled in public or photo,I would like to get married and smile in my wedding photos, can you help please?

Can I still have braces although my wisdom teeth are missing?

Friday, April 19th, 2013
Q.

Hi there

I had braces years ago from the ages of 12 to 15.

Im now 34, i have 2 molars missing, one on each side on the upper jaw. I really would like to have braces again as my teeth are spacing out terribly again & my bite isnt straight.

Will i be able to have braces even though those 2 molars are missing?

Thank you so much in advance.

( please forgive me writing this part but it wont let me submit the question as there are too few words, but i dont really know what else to say or how better to explain what i need done. Hence these are extra words so that i may submit my question to you.)

My Teeth Are Moving As I Have Not Worn My Retainer As Instructed, What Can I Do?

Monday, April 15th, 2013
Q.

I had braces on my top and bottom teeth and they were then removed after about 1-2 years. I was given clear retainers and I haven’t been following my routine for wearing retainers for my front teeth. For a while my front teeth were fine but now my right front tooth is moving closer to the left front tooth. I have a natural gap between my 2 front teeth and my dentist removed one of my molars so that my front teeth would move as my right front tooth used to go over my left front tooth. I have a small gap where my molar used to be and now a gap is being developed between my central incisor and my lateral incisor.
I have started wearing my retainers again for every night now for the last 2 weeks but my teeth are still moving.
What should I do?
Thank you for reading this and I will wait for your advice.

Can My Teeth Be Brought Forward Using Implants

Friday, January 11th, 2013
Q.

Hello Doctor Safeer Butt, I had 4 teeth extracted and my front teeth pushed back when I was younger to correct an overbite that I had. However, unfortunately, ,my teeth have been pushed too far back in my mouth and now they are hardly visible when I smile. In addition to this, the position of my teeth has made my profile not the best looking as it makes my chin way more prominent. Its really upsetting and effecting my self confidence. My question is,  is it possible to reverse this and bring the teeth forward using implants and pushing the teeth back forward. I have been to visit my orthodontis about bringing the teeth forward about10 years ago who just said it was not possible to move the teeth back.

Thank you

I don’t want to go through any surgical procedures, can orthodontic treatment help me?

Wednesday, July 11th, 2012
Q.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me? I am 41 and have a very slight underbite. When I bite,my upper and lower teeth align on top of each other unlike, ‘normal’ people where the lower teeth will be behind. I am not able to push my lower jaw back for my teeth to go behind. Is it possible to correct this slight underbite by using braces or any other method that does not involve surgery. I have set aside a budget of £10K to correct this underbite but would prefer not to go through the surgical method.
