I am on income support and the family I brought up, who I put first, and are now grown up. I feel it’s my time to take care of myself, however I have neglected myself. My teeth have worn me down with supporting my children and have taken a knock.
I so want my confidence back but I earn very little as the grandchildren take up most of my earnings.
Can you please recommend a way I can afford treatment without going into debt please? I have some false teeth and they are ill-fitting, although I have had them fitted through the national health service.
My dream is to feel free from taking my dentures out each night as it’s not a nice feeling. I would appreciate any information you can give me to make me smile with confidence. Kind regards.

Is There an Affordable Way to Replace Ill-Fitting Dentures?
Thursday, June 16th, 2016I’ve Neglected My Dental Care For A Couple Of Years. How Do I Sort This In The Fastest/Easiest Way Possible?
Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 Hello Dr Hughes,
I am 14 years old and one of my front teeth has a cavity, I have only noticed it today and I have a huge chip in my tooth now. I have not been very good at dental care in the past and neglected brushing my teeth for a couple of years. (I was going through a bad time and it was the last thing I was thinking about) and I haven’t been to the dentist for years. I need help. My cavity is really noticeable and I don’t know what to do? How do I sort this in the fastest way/ easiest way possible? Thanks.
I Didnt Brush My Teeth And Now They’re Yellow, What Should I Do?
Thursday, April 4th, 2013Hi. When i was about 10/11 i went through a period of not brushing my teeth. I fully regret that time now because most of my teeth are now yellow and my front two permanent teeth are slightly wobbly. This makes me really insecure because i don’t want to show my teeth. I am now 13 and the last time i went to the dentist i was about 6/7. It also sometimes hurts when i brush my teeth, which i now do twice a day using Pearldrops to try and whiten my teeth. I also use listerine as my mouthwash. My right canine tooth is higher than all of my other teeth and if my mouth is opened in a certain way, you can see a lump where my canine is pushing against my skin. I need advise on what to do… I know i need to go too the dentist but i never have time, i go to a private school making it harder to get certain days off. Please reply:)
My Personal Problems Meant That I Neglected My Teeth, How Do I Get Them Fixed?
Monday, March 25th, 2013 Hello doctor, I need some advice as I have been in a severely depressed state of mind and have just been referred back to my GP from the community mental health team. This was an ongoing situation over the last three years +
During this time and before, My teeth were neglected due to my state of mind. Just on the top row I only have 3 good / whole teeth and the rest are either missing or badly broken. My back molars top and bottom were extracted in hospital when I was 7 or 8.
To this day I dont know why.
I am too ashamed to go to a dentist and am wondering – should I go to hospital or see my own GP first. I am just starting to pick up the pieces in life and now have my heart set on being a new person and being able to smile.
I live in Kingston upon Thames, London. I am 42 and allergic to aspirin and penicillin – Just for reference.
I am eligible for NHS as I am on DLA & ESA and currently not working.
I have suffered from PERICARDITIS for about 6 years now as it is a re-occurring symptom. I am currently on simvastatins for cholestoral. Other medication includes amitryptaline, isosorbide mononitrate, co-dydramol, sertraline, zopiclone (taken rarely). Just to give an insight of my medical history. Hope to hear from you shortly.
Yours Gratefully.
