have very bad gagging with false teeth have no teeth of my own and am taking tablets to stop my choaking they origanilly for epilesy but still can only wear my top dentures for very short periods of time if i stop my antichoacking tablets i can wear top dentures as long as i am sucking sweets and my liver not liking choacking tablets would like to replace all with mini implants if possible,

I’m not suitable for dental implants so how about mini implants?

Hello Dr. Tennent, I was trying to find current information about mini-implants in the maxilla to stablize a full denture. I’ve had a consultation and am not a candidate for traditional impants so I was wondering if mini-implants would be an option? What I’ve read online is confusing, some say they cannot be used successfully on the top some say they can. What is your opinion, sir? Thank you.,

Can I have a tooth implant where the gap is now closed?

Hi, I have two gaps on my left side where two gums were removed in my early 20′s. I am now 30 and have an appointment with an implant specialist. I was wondering as my dentist says the upper gap is now ‘closed’ can i still have an implant there?(one consultant i saw said a way around this could be either a ‘mini implant’ or to shave part of the surrounding teeth adjacent to the gap to make room?) any advice much appreciated! Thanks.,

Can I have mini implants in my upper jaw to support my dentures?

Hello, I have dental implants in my lower jaw to hold a fixed bridge and its been great. I could’nt have conventional implants in my upper jaw as the bone at the front of my palate was too thin. It is thicker at the sides and the back. I have just found out about mini implants, can you have them installed if the bone is thin, or do you need thick bone as with conventional implants. I would just like them in my upper jaw to support the upper denture, it would give me more confidence. Thanks Karen,
