Gum Disease Has Changed My Smile. What Can Be Done?

Friday, May 29th, 2015
Q.

Hi, I have had gum disease and one of my front teeth has grown down long due to loss of bone in the gums. Some of my other teeth in the back of my gums have become loose and I have also lost a few. So what would my options be? I am becoming sad and don’t like to smile any more. My teeth use to bleed when I brushed them – they don’t any more and have not done for over a year now. I don’t like going to the dentist and I feel nervous, but my smile is so out of place. Kind regards.

How Can I Replace Four Missing Teeth in a Row?

Tuesday, March 24th, 2015
Q.

I have recently lost four front teeth in a row. If I decided to go for an implant, how many would I need, and is a bridge possible with implants? I originally had a bridge on two teeth, then the one next to the bridge was removed. I recently had a plate for that, but in the meantime we found I had decay in the two teeth. Apparently the bridge wasn’t very good and was leaking so now the bridge has to be removed, plus the two teeth holding bridge and the gap I already have, which makes a loss of four teeth in a row. What is the best way forward? I cannot get used to an acrylic dental plate. Please can you give me some advice? I have booked an appointment to see a specialist.

I Need To Know How I Can Overcome My Fear Of The Dentist, As I’ve Neglected My Oral Health?

Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013
Q.

Hello Mark. My teeth are a bit of a mess partially due to my own fault and having a massive fear of dentists, and so I have been avoiding them for years (I even got rid of an abscess using raw garlic) however now I want to try and fix the damage as much as possible. I have lost four teeth their at the back so you can’t see them. My top two front teeth slightly turn inwards and I have been contemplating veneers? I am still really terrified of the dentist! How can I overcome this problem? Thank you for your time.

I have lost front 6 teeth in lower jaw , numbering from first premolar to the other end canine, due to an accident.
Is Dental bridge the right solution to replace the lost teeth and how long the dental bridge will remain.
My age is 24 , did dental bridge will last long without damaging the supporting teeth.
Is their another solution other than Dental bridge and Dental implants? Kindly, suggest the correct solution for the above problem.

How long would it take to close gaps in my teeth with braces& what would be the cost?

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Patel, I would appreciate if you could answer to my below questions; My problem is that I have a Periodontal disease and I lost few teeth’s. At the moment I have a partial metal denture. Some of my teeth’s are moved and crate a big spaces between them and it look’s ugly. I believe that some of the orthodontic treatment has to take place, before any additional action to my perfect smile. The teeth’s which needs orthodontic treatment are the upper R2 and L2. Could you please let me know how long I need to wear the braces to straighten them and the cost. (appox).,
