A. If you have any issues with your treatment, it is always advisable to discuss this with the performing dentist. Don’t feel embarassed to ask questions and query anything in realtion to your braces/ortho treatment. Teeth can move in many different directions- some of them move out of alignment first and then back again. This is quite normal. All teeth move at different rates, and it also depends on the type of braces you have. I wouldn’t be too concerned at this stage, but you need to stress these concerns with the orthodontist. Good luck

Everyone tells me there’s nothing wrong with them and to be honest there isn’t any major problems! I just want them to look perfect! For me! Here’s an idea of how they look:- / < My top teeth slightly stick out \ < & this is the bottom row. I just want both rows pushed back, straight, but the thing is i really don’t want any normal braces! My hearts set on lingual. As my teeth stick out having normal braces would look flaming rediculous! Could i have lingual braces? All my teeth are together with no gaps apart from the front two, so would having teeth removed be an issue? Im honestly not fussed about the price! but i really wan’t lingual and no other, not even invisalign it’l just look silly. The un-noticable the better! As i said i’m 16 but do i have to pay the whole amount straight away, could i not pay a fee over a period of time as of my circumstances? Sorry if i blabber on, i just really wan’t my teeth straight and my private dentist said no when i was 15. So now i pay the price! Please do get in touch if you have time! I’d love to hear your verdict on my sad dilema! Much appreciated:) Ps: I have no idea if you even specialise in lingual braces, total guess!,

Q. Between the ages of 17 – 19 I had traditional braces. I am now 29 and find that my teeth have relapsed over time as my dentist warned they might. I wear a nightly retainer (which is a replacement if one I had and broke) but my teeth aren’t as they were when I first had my brace removed. The main issues are: a small ‘Madonnaesque’ gap between my front two teeth and the teeth wither side of those are rather short. I was wondering between veneers, invisalign and lumineers what I could consider to correct the problem. I want something that will completely close the gap without too much damage to my teeth which are white and in very good condition.

A. If the teeth are poorly shaped veneers will be the best option – lumineers are just a branded veneer. If the teeth are a nice shape then I wold recommend another brace ( may be invisalign or lingual braces) . Once the teeth are in a good position then I would recommend a fixed retainer – V loop retainer allows you to floss your teeth and holds the teeth in their corredt position

As of now, im 21 and have an edge to edge bite, my mandible grew, but i dont have an underbite yet, just edge to edge which is very uncomfortable. Im assuming i will have to go back to braces and elastics again, but i was wondering if invisalign will work for my situation? Can I use elastics with invisalign, I read online that invisalign can fix underbites?

A. This is very case specific so a proper assesment is required to see if you’re suitable for invisalign. If you need elastics then a normal fixed brace might be best
