Q. Hi Kailesh I was wondering what you can do for people with croked teeth, ar veneers still an option. My 2 front teeth ar slightly further foward than the ones either side? I look forward to hearing from you.
A.
Hi
Many thanks for your question. There are usually several options for correcting tooth position and alignment. Veneers are an option especially if you are also unhappy with the shape and colour of the teeth, however this treatment usually involves removing a small amount of healthy tooth. Other options include 6 month smiles, inman aligner, and invisalign. these would all reposition the teeth but not change the shape or colour.
I hope this helps

Q. Hello I am a 17 year old and my front two teeth are forward and so they are not straight and alinged with the other teeth. Can an inman aligner fix this and push these front teeth back so my teeth would be perfectly straight? Also, would I have to remove teeth for this? Thanking you
A. It really depends on how your teeth look an Inman aligner may straighten them if not a fixed brace or invisalign may be other options.

Q. Hello Dr Butt, My question is about the Inman Aligner, I have had mine in since the end of August, the first three weeks were great I could really feel and see the difference in my front teeth. The last four weeks or so I have said to my dentist that I can’t see or feel any movement which is the main part of the treatment. My dentist is now telling me that I should get a Clearstep like brace to finish it off for a further cost. I thought the Inman was all that was needed to complete the treatment – what can I do??
A. hi
the inman is usually a 12 week treatment depending on how long you wear it each day
it aligns the teeth pretty well but for fine detail finishing clear aligners can be used.
it depends if you are happy to finish where you are or want to continue and get a nicer result.
it is normal for the inman not to feel as tight as the teeth move into the right position so dont worry about this.

Q. Hello, I have had a Inman Aligner treatment and I finished it. But my dentist suggested I wear the Inman Aligner after the treatment for few more months so I have worn it for more than 10 months(I guess, but I did have proper treatment before wearing Inman Aligner with metal thing). Unfortunately, I lost it today and I don’t think I could find it and moreover, I don’t I could see my dentist again, as he is in different country. I want to have a new Inman Aligner, the appliance, but not the treatment, as I have finished it already. How much do you think, in this case, would cost me to have an Inman Aligner? If it is far over £500(but I do hope that the cost would be far less than 500, as I DO NOT NEED ANY TREATMENT, BUT JUST THE APPLIANCE), could you recommend me other appliances that might be suitable to keep the “already rearranged shape”?(And that should be fairly cheap, because my parents have already paid quite a lot to arrange a treatment for me and they do not want to spend extra money, which means that I have to pay)
A. You need a retainer if you are happy with your teeth now you need a fixed metal wire placed around the backs of the front teeth and a removable “gumshield” retainer. Find an orthodontist or good dentist and they will be able to provide this for you.

Q. i’m looking to get braces, and would much prefer the Inman Aligner done. However, I’m not sure if i’m a likely candidate for the treatment. A baby canine tooth that I should have had removed 10 years ago, has forced the adult canine tooth to grow underneath it, pushing it to the inside of my upper gum. After having that baby canine tooth taken out, now i would like for the adult canine tooth to be put in it’s right place on my upper gum via orthodontic treatment. Having seen the prices, of normal traditional braces extending between £2000 and £3000, i saw that not only were Inman Aligners cheaper, but they also carried out the treatment in a significantly shorter space of time. So my question is, is it possible to have that canine tooth pushed forward, towards the center of my gum, or will I have to settle for traditional braces? (Can the Inman Aligner be used to treat the canine teeth as well, or just the 4 incisors
A. I don’t think the Inman will work that well in this situation. I think you would need conventional orthodontics peraps with ceramic white brackets to make it less obvious. This will give you your best long-term solution.

Q. what is the quickest way to get straight teeth??
A. Thanks for your question, there are many teeth straightening systems on the market today. The inman aligner can work in as little as six weeks, and is also one of the most cost effective systems available.
I hope this helps.

Q. Do you still need tooth shaving (interproximal reduction)with the inman aligners?
A. Thanks for your question, it is not always necessary to have Interproximal Reduction when having the Inman aligner treatment. The need for reduction would depend on the amount of space available between the teeth. I hope this helps, but please do not hesitate to contact me again if you require any further information.

Q. hello doc,i have a large n protruding incissors which kind of lowers my self esteem,i dont want to wear braces coz it takes too long,is there any minor surgery dat can help push them inward and make them smaller and at what price?,do u have subsidized prices for students?,i really need to get my confidence bak, thanks.
A. You could look at invisalign which is much more discreet in some cases inman aligners work well.

Q. i am looking into getting my top front two teeth straightened – one over laps the other and would like to know what options are available to do this with the exception of traditional braces!
A. You should find a dentist who can offer you the option of Invisalign, Inman Aligners or 6 month smiles as these could be you best options to fix the crossed over from teeth.

Q. Hi there. I am 23 and one of my front teeth has been pushed forward over the years so it now sticks out. I am very self conscious about it and it affects my confidence. I’m just wondering what the best option for me is?
A. It sounds like a brace might work well. I use an Inman Aligner for mild crowding it works quickly and gives good results. Try to find a dentist close to you who can provide this treatment for you.

Q. Hi! i would appreciate your guidance. My bottom teeth have moved over thelast two years,i believe due to me biting down on my back teeth when i am stressed and at the time i went through a personal trauma. I have been to see one harley street authordontist who recomended invisalign. It was completely out of my budget. I have noticed that it has affected my smile,i have a big smile and haave no problem with my confidence but i am growing increasingly upset by my teeth, especially seeing perfectly straight teeth in photos only two years previous. I have just been researching veneers, although i would not like my own teeth removed or ground down to have them. This evening i have just found out about the inman aligner,i am really interested. How do i get advice on what is truly the best option for my teeth? I hope you can help… Regards
A. hi,
if the teeth affected are the ones between the anterior canines then it is likely it can be helped with the inman.
look for a dentist near you or if you prefer any of my clinincs will offer a free consultation.

Q. Hello, As a child I wore a brace on my upper teeth but over time my teeth have moved and I now have a front tooth that is not in alignment with the others. I was wondering what would be the better option for me to correct this. I’ve been looking at Invisalign and Inman Aligner, can you tell me the pros and cons for each, and also what kind of cost would I be looking at.
A. To know which is the most suitable for you, you would need to consult an orthodontist as there is a different type of brace that is best for each case.
If you would like a recommendation my collegue Dr Darsh Patel has a wealth of knowledge and would be happy to see you for an assessment please visit www.umbrellasmiles.com

Q. Dear Dr Glaister, My top row of teeth are neat but the two front teeth stick out and they are longer than I would like. I was wondering: – is it possible to get teeth trimmed and to what extent (e.g. is it only the enamel part that can be trimmed?). Would it be necessary to have veneers fitted on the trimmed teeth – Could I get Inman Aligners even after having veneer treatment already? Many thanks and best regards
A. Teeth can be recontoured, but only slighly. If you are considering the Inman Aligner, you would have to have this done before having veneers.
Kind regards

A. in some cases it is possible as long as we are not trying to correct the overbite

Q. I wondered what the best way I could fix these cosmetic problems. Preferably without braces. My top row of teeth go slightly inwards and my two front teeth are face a little towards each other. I also have a very small gap on each side between my first and second premolars. i should also say i still have 4 baby teeth around the back on each side, and there are no big teeth to grow in. is there a plate i could wear that would fix all this? No one has ever noticed and no dentist has ever recommended anything, so i wanted to get another opinion.
A. You could try veneers or maybe a removable brace such as an Inman Aligner or Invisalign?

Q. Hi, I’m 16 and i realy want my teeth to be straight, i would just like to know, if i can get anything like invisable braces or the ones that only take a month, or the inman aligner, not the normal train track braces. But i can’t pay for it, it would have to be under NHS, is there anything like that that i could have that wont cost me? Please let me know if there is anything, thankyou.
A. Hi,
The NHS are limited on what they provide so unforunately Invisilible braces and quicker methods of teeth straightening are not available. You would need to book in with a private orthodontist if you wanted to have these methods of orthodontics and there would be costs involved.
Kind regards

Q. can i have my four front teeth pulled out and replaced with false ones because they are buck, gap and crooked
A. hi many thanks for your email. This does sound somewhat drastic. there are many ways to correct the position of the teeth, with the advent of six month smiles and inman aligner technology the movement of teeth can take as little as 8-10 weeks. my advice would seek the advice of a cosmetic dentist. what you are asking for is in my opinion a last resort. hope this is helpful.

Q. I have crooked and mishapen teeth, especially my top six front teeth. I’m trying to decide between lumineers, invisalign, and inman aligners. I’m 18 years old and live in the USA. I’m also a student in college. Cost and time have a big difference in my decision. What information can you give me to help me make my final choice?
A. I would always recommend some form of orthodontics to realign your natural teeth . Once that has been done reassess your smile and have veneer placed if necesary.

Q. i have 4 teeth at the front my two front ones are big with a gap in between and one sits forward then i have two small ones at the side i dont think a brace would help as i hate the size of them i would love 4 new ones i always smile with my lips closed and i asm looking to get married and would love straight teeth the same size so i could smile .
A. It sounds like veneers might help, perhaps even with a bit of realignment with na Inman Aligner.
If you would like me to take a look please feel free to call my clinic on 01245 268494 and we can arrange a free consultation for you
