Is There an Affordable Way to Replace Ill-Fitting Dentures?

Thursday, June 16th, 2016
Q.

I am on income support and the family I brought up, who I put first, and are now grown up. I feel it’s my time to take care of myself, however I have neglected myself. My teeth have worn me down with supporting my children and have taken a knock.
I so want my confidence back but I earn very little as the grandchildren take up most of my earnings.
Can you please recommend a way I can afford treatment without going into debt please? I have some false teeth and they are ill-fitting, although I have had them fitted through the national health service.
My dream is to feel free from taking my dentures out each night as it’s not a nice feeling. I would appreciate any information you can give me to make me smile with confidence. Kind regards.

Can I Have My Teeth Screwed in After Having Dentures for 29 Years?

Friday, February 6th, 2015
Q.

How much does it cost to have your teeth screwed in? I’ve had dentures for 29 years and I hate them. All my teeth are bad. Can I even get screwed in teeth after having dentures for so long? Are there any dental plans that help with the cost? I am poor and living on social security. What are veneers? Do you take them out or are they permanent? I hate having something on the roof of my mouth and my teeth don’t fit me well and sometimes cause discomfort.

I Told My Dentist That My Denture Looked Terrible And Now It Looks Worse, What Should I Do?

Tuesday, July 30th, 2013
Q.

hello.. i just got three remaining teeth removed on the upper while leaving my two front teeth and four more on the top right side. there was stitches and a bridge put in the same day. it hurt a lot and i have been soaking in salt water, and cold yogurt to bring the swelling down. the bridge was across the roof of my mouth and the front left side had a hook over my front tooth. i told him that looked terrible; he sawed it off and put some soft material that hardens instead. it still looks bad and not natural because it has to slightly cover my front left upper tooth to hold it.
my gums are not good so i cannot receive implants. this was done yesterday and it hurts too much to put my bridge. i have read that people wait until the bridge is put in??? thank you for your consideration.
