Recently there seems to be a gap forming between my top middle front two teeth. It’s really small at the moment but it really annoys me. I’m 21 years old and I have had braces for 2.5 years since the age of 13.
How much does it cost to fix the gap? And also what’s the best home method to whiten teeth. I heard salt water is an option, is there anything else that I could do? Thank you for answering my questions.
hello doctor, i have this question. i’m a patient of LUPUS (SLE). have had it now for 5 years. n i have noticed a change in color in my teeth. i want to get a permanent teeth whitening procedure but m not sure about the risks or which one should i go for ? i have been through teeth scaling and polishing which worked fine for me at the time but didnt really help in the overall color whitening . can u pls guide me about which procedure shud i go through and if i shud do it at all or not? the process i went through was good enough for particular stains on my teeth but i need a total color whitener tht wi ll help to whiten the teeth and not only remove stains. i read through the internet about bleaching and laser .dont know which one wud be best suitable for me .help.thanks
Hello Dr, my problem is one of a cosmetic nature. I have recently done both in house and in office teeth whitening but there is no noticeable result
After a consultation with the dentist, I was given a pack of evolution3 home kit of 10 and 16% carbide peroxide which I used at home for two weeks with a custom made tray sent to me by the dentist. At the end of the second week, I went to the clinic for the in office whitening. In the office, an application of another higher % of gel was administered with my customer tray for about 30 minutes and that was it. I noticed that my teeth were still the same colour. This has frustrated me somewhat to be perfectly honest as there is still no noticeable result.

I am having my two front teeth crowns replaced, and i have just had the temporary ones put in. I would like to go very white, I need my teeth whitening then i am going to have my crowns put in to match the new white teeth. What is best for me to do? will I get good results from in surgery lazer teeth whitening? as I know laws have changed in the past month and the chemicals used are not as strong, or would a home kit be better? if a home kit would be better should i still receive this from my dentist or purchase another online because i’ve seen some good whitening deals. I would like it done as soon as possible for my wedding in January. Any advice would be great, thank you very much.
I am seeing conflicting information on teeth whitening from different places and the solutions strengths available vary greatly. I have seen 8-38% strengths available on a number of websites and am unsure what is best. I want to find a solution/strength that is safe and effective.
What levels (%) of carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide whitening a gels are considered safe for use?
I have read that carbamide peroxide is used for home whitening and hydrogen peroxide is used at the dentist. Is there any reason hydrogen peroxide couldn’t be used at home?

Hi Dr Moore, having considered having a procedure to whiten my teeth done professionally I should like to know is teeth whitening contra-indicated for all people with epilepsy, under all circumstances? I don’t seem to be able to find enough information on why this might be. Is it just with certain anti epileptic medication? Or say to do with photo sensitivity? I would be very grateful if you could provide some clarity in this matter, as I would dearly love to have my teeth professionally whitened but obviously I don’t want to put my health at risk. I would like just a little advice on the best route for 2 issues. I drink quite a lot of coffee and my teeth are an ‘0ff-white- colour. I would really like a gleaming white smile now and wondered what the best way would be to achieve it? About a year or so ago I purchased Dr George’s Dental White, but have only used on a few occasions as im very sceptical of any damage? Is this a good product? I have also just recently purchased the Transformulas professional whitening kit, and after a few appliances it does ‘appear’ to have made a difference. Is professional surgery really the only way to achieve my goal, or are these products worthwhile?
I also have a very slight gap between my top front two teeth and would like this closed, any advice also would be greatly appreciated.

I have a cap on my front tooth due to a childhood prank,I have slightly stained teeth with the cap tooth being a slightly different colour.I am thinking about buying a home whitening kit to imrove the teeth,will the product affect this tooth? is there a chance that the cap will never be the same colour as the rest of th teeth?I was also told that any teeth whitening products cause long term damage to the tooth,is that so?
