Do I need gum surgery

Sunday, August 17th, 2008
Q.
Hi, I have had root canal treatment on my front upper 1 and 2 teeth. These teeth are now discoloured.Upper 1 left is a crown(done abroad). This crown is too thick and too big, it goes high into my gum, it`s bigger than my teeth. I have small teeth. Now I`m having crowns put in. The dentist suggested gum surgery to get my front 4 gums to the desired lenght, and than having the crowns placed. I dread the thought ot having gum surgery. Is there any other way out of this? Please note that I`m 25.

Dr Bohara is doing my teeth in Loughborough

Monday, August 4th, 2008
Q.
Dear Dr. Solanki, I`m 25 and dr. Bohara is doing my teeth in Loughborough. The problem is that the gum on upper left 1 is raised due to a too big a crown put previosly by someone else. My teeth are quite small, I have lots of gum showing. For him to do the best of my teeth he suggested gum surgery. My question is can laser gum reshaping do it, as there`s no way on earth I`m having oldfashioned gum surgery. Thank you

I have gum disease and receeding gums do I need gum graft surgery

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
Q.
Hi, I have recently experience some minor gum disease (as a result of poor advice from a previous dentist). The gum on my two front teeth has receeded quite badly both upwards and outwards leaving me with very large looking front teeth (they have always been slightly longer than my other teeth). I have done some research on gum graft surgery and don’t necessarily think the situation is severe enough for this, my dentist thinks they fine but I’m really upset by the way they look, is there anything else I can do, it’s making me really unhappy and I’m only 27
