hi i am 22 year old boy and have wanted to improve my smile for a long time, my friends says that i do not smile, especially in my pictures. Also I never smile, just full stop it makes me seem miserable………..i laugh lots and lots but rarely smile and my teeth are little irregular. What i mean by that is food particles can get easily sucked in my teeth and its difficult to push your brush in there. i want a smiley face and whenever i smile my teeth will show without any worry. I want to impress others with my smile because i feel like i haven’t done it before. Can you suggest for me what you think would be good? I don’t want to wear braces for a long period of time and i don’t have that much money either. please just give me some advice. anything at all! thank you so much dr.

I’m 22 And I Hate Smiling, Please Help!
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013What can I do about preventing food from getting stuck in a crowned tooth?
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011Dear Sir/Madam
I had a crown fitted over a tooth about 2 months ago. The tooth had a filling about 13 years old and my current dentist recommended a crown as opposed to a replacement filling. The filling was done in a way that I could not floss properly between the teeth and that’s why I wanted to do something about it.
About 2 months after the crown being fitted, I constantly have a feeling food gets stuck in between teeth and not even flossing helps. When I run my nail underneath the crown it smells really unpleasantly. Does this mean the food somehow gets underneath the crown and rots there?
I am regretting having the crown fitted.
What is the best thing to do now?
I very much appreciate an answer to my problem.
Yours sincerely
Can you advise what can be done about a gap between wisdom tooth where food gets stuck?
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011I have a small gap between a wisdom tooth and the adjacent tooth where food particles get stuck nearly every time I eat and it is uncomfortable and very irritating. A secondary problem with the same tooth is that food also gets stuck between it and the gum (on the opposite side of the gap). My dentist says the only solution is to extract the wisdom tooth. Can I do anything less dramatic such as dental bonding? I carry a 0.5mm TePe Interdental brush with me that helps keep my sanity but far from solves the problem.

There is a gap between my implant bridge and gums, and food is getting stuck there. Is this normal?
Thursday, October 28th, 2010Hello. I have just had dental implants fitted and also a bridge (two implants with three crowns). there is a gap between my gum and the teeth (where my bridge is)which looks quite odd and food is already getting stuck there. Is this normal? I did question the dentist who said that is fine. I had implants put in to disguise the gaps – although I will be able to eat better I am concerned about the appearance because of the gap between the teeth and the gum. Is this normal? Many thanks,
