I’d like a treatment that would permanently close the gap in my teeth, what would you suggest?

Monday, May 24th, 2010
Q.
Hie.I was wondering if you could give me some advice.I have got a big gap tooth.I got told that veneers can help to close the gap tooth. However besides veneers are there any other options that can help to permanetly close my gap tooth. The reason why I am a bit hesitant about veneers is the fact that they can fell off and also you need to get them checked regularly isnt it which is Iwht dont want and it cost a lot of money as well to get them fitted.I want a treatment where my gap tooth is permanently closed even if it means that the treatment will take long its ok.What about braces. Please can you give some information about braces if they can help to close my gap tooth. Thank you Regards.

Is this typical of what I would expect to pay for the braces?

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010
Q.
I have just had a consultation at a dental clinic in the City regarding having my teeth straightened. I have prominent front teeth, in particular one to the side of my middle teeth, and was recommended traditional fixed braces for 18 months with a permanent retention wire at the back of the teeth permanently afterwards. I was quoted £3,800 for the treatment which seemed rather a lot. Is this typical of what I would expect to pay and is the permanent retainer necessary (I hadn’t expected this)? I look forward to hearing from you.,

Do I need fixed braces on the bottom teeth? I only require them for the top teeth…

Monday, May 10th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I had functional braces (to move my jaw), then fixed braces and finally retainers for 2 years. wasnt totally happy with the result. I’ve also lost the retainer for my bottom teeth. Im considering adult treatment but will i need to have braces on the bottom as well as on the top? Whether I’m talking or smiling, you cannot see my bottom teeth…so why does everyone have braces on the bottom! i understand why people have functional braces on both the bottom and top, but why have fixed ones on your bottom teeth when no one seems them? also i had the fixed braces on the bottom for much longer than the top! Thank you so much for answering in advance,

How long will it be to fix overbite with retainer?

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010
Q.
Hi, i got retainers for overbite in August, and wore them everyday, day and night for about a month, then i stopped after they were tightened because it was too painful, but i decided that im going to wear them again. How long will i have to wear them for my overbite to be cured? Also, i have a gap in my front teeth, and there is no metal/brace on my retainer for that, so i think i am getting fixed braces after my overbite is cured. How long till the gap closes up? Thank you.,
