Can I get implants as a solution to decayed teeth?

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Q.
hi there i’m 20 years old and due to lack of oral hygiene and a fear of the dentist 4 of my back teeth have just literally chipped away leaving rotten ‘stumps’ in my mouth, this has happened over the course of 2 years and is getting worse. two of my back teeth have been extracted the rest are filled or need to be. i’m too embarrassed to smile. what would you suggest i do? would implants be the best alternative in the long run?,

What is the difference in quality between NHS and private bridges?

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010
Q.
I have recently had a tooth extracted and have been told by my dentist that I should have a bridge fitted. As I now have a space where two teeth should be I would very much like to have this done.However.I cant decide if I should have a NHS bridge or it done privately. It is quite a substansial difference in cost. £400 for NHS and £1500 for private. What are your views on the quality of NHS bidges?,
