Hi. I’m messaging you as I recently went to the dentist. She did what she could for me and since then (8 months ago) I’ve quit smoking I have done all of what she suggested but my teeth just seem to get worse. I have over lapping teeth at the front which wouldn’t be so bad if the enamel were there but its completely gone. So much so, that I have dark shadows on them I can’t bear to smile. I then thought I’d pay to have them whitened with a friend, hers were amazing mine not too bad but my 2 front teeth look the same, I’m at a loss, what should I do? I’m so sick of smiling though a closed mouth or hiding it with my hand. I’m 31 & I would rather have all my teeth taken out & have dentures rather than have this for the rest of my life.

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013My daughter, 5, has several silver crowns on her bottom molars. Is it costly to have them replaced with enamel crowns, or is there dental paint for them? She has two on each side and I don’t like the way they look. I know they are just baby teeth, but I do not want her to grow up with all this dental work in her mouth. Her dentist says that the enamel did not form properly around her teeth and that her whole mouth may need to be capped.
The enamel is wearing at the tops of my teeth, what can I do?
Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 I havefor some time noticed that I am losing enamel from the top of my top teeth near the gum line. This is now becoming more pronounced and of some concern although eeth so far have not discoloured or causing any sensitivity, I am concerned about the long term effect.
I am been advised by a local dentist to have fillings in the top of my teeth although I am concerned about this.
Is this the only option or are there other options. I thought I had read about an enamel replacement treatment.

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010I went to visit my dentist for a check up, everything seems fine except my front teeth are weak the enamel is wearing since I have drunk a lot of orange juice then brushed my teeth so my dentist has told me to be careful, One of my front teeth is starting to worry me as its becoming see through at bottom and sides. I wanted to ask whether veneers would help me on my top teeth?

Friday, November 26th, 2010My teeth seem to be wearing down. Its not terrible, but I’m getting worried about them because my enamel isn’t that great either. I just don’t want them to wear down anymore than they already have. Is there anything i can do to repair the wearing or reduce it in some way?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010Hi there. My 5 year old son is missing enamel off his 2 front baby teeth. His peers are starting to comment and I do not want him to be teased. Our nhs dentist says nothing can be done and they won’t remove which I understand but is there anything that can be done privately? Can they be painted with anything or treated in any other way to improve the colour. I do not want his confidence shaken at such a young age. I have looked at the pearl drops paint on veneer product but it shouldn’t be used under 7 and I couldn’t see a difference on my teeth so don’t think it will make a difference on his. I thank you in advance for any advice.
Are there more permanent solutions than veneers?

I once had a wonderful big, full smile and now my front teeth are paper thin and have shortened. I hate smiling now and i would love to get my smile back. I have veneers on the back of my 4 top front teeth but they dont look good and i dont feel secure with them – i would like a more permenant solution and teeth more like my own were before. Any suggestions or advice?,

Monday, July 5th, 2010Hi, i was at my dentist for a concernt on my acid erosion, and she says it has gotten worse, my teeth are now a dark yellow/grey colour . I am 18 years old. But apparently places around my braces had remineralised while other places on my teeth did not so i have a white, dark yellow and grey splotches on my teeth, making them appaear rotten, if they are not already. they are sensitive and she has referred me to the royal school of dentistry belfast. But she says it will take atleast 6 months, she says to my mum that my case is quite perculiar. now i have eliminated all fizzy drinks, sugary foods. From my diet. if you need to see a picture of my teeth to see how sever the condition is then i can send a picture. I asked my dentisr could she just give me veneers or crowns. she said its not appropriate to take away sound tooth. i said well it may be sound tooth but it looks beyond repair, and she says that she could try whitening my “enamel” which in my opinion is only dentin and slight enamel around the edges. and i think the whitening would only highlight the edge of my teeth and still make it look worse. So i am not sure if i should change dentist or not. i would really appreciate you atleast looking at the severity of my condition thanks.,
