Is the cost of implants I have been estimated correct, and what can be done for front teeth that have moved due to missing tooth?

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010
Q.
Hello Dr. Tennet, I would like to ask 2 questions please if you don’t mind. Question 1. I have quite a few problems with my teeth at the moment, probably due to neglect and not visiting the dentist enough, but I have 3 teeth missing on the right hand side of my mouth at the top, and I have been to see a cosmetic dentist who does seem to have a good reputation, although I have not been to him before. I have had a quote for 2 teeth to be replaced with implants. The quote is £1400 for each implant, and £1000 for each implant retained crown. A total of £4800 for 2 teeth. I would just like your opinion on the price please. I live in the Grimsby area of Lincolnshire. Question 2. All my teeth are fairly good at the front, except that years ago I had a tooth removed from the top left, and because of this my top teeth have all moved to the left and I now have one of my two front teeth right in the middle. In other words my two front teeth are not in the middle any more. Could you please advise me what is the best treatment to correct this, or as near as possible. Thank you Dr. Tennet. Yours sincerely.,

Would crown be the best option to replace veneer that keeps falling off?

Friday, September 24th, 2010
Q.
I have two veneers on my front teeth. One has fallen off 3 times in the last six months and I have been informed that I will need a crown next time this happens. Can you tell me if this is the right advice and also why is the veneer falling off? The other one is ok and has only come off once in 5 years. Thanks,

I would like to have veneers but fear they will break (I am a professional fighter) when in the ring. Is there a particularly strong veneer, and can you give me advice about receding gums?

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi im interested in getting veneers maybee 4-6 accross my top and 4 accross the bottom but im a proffesional fighter and worried that they might not be as strong as my own teeth and come out regularly whilst sparring and fighting. Just want your opinion and is there any particular type of veneers which are stronger than others and would be more suited to me? One more thing is there anything that can be done about reciding gums, or any advice you can give me to help against this? Thanks you very much.,

My four new veneers seem to wiggle and are tight when I close my mouth. Is this normal?

Q.
I just got 4 veneers on the top about 2 months ago…. They have a little wiggle to them and when I close my mouth tight, the teeth feel tight and kinda pop (not like you can hear, just a feeling) if I move with my teeth. Is this normal?,

Two dentists gave me different recommendations (Invisalign & Veneers) but can I have bonding instead?

Monday, September 20th, 2010
Q.
I have been to see two cosmetic dentists and both have recommended different treatments. Veneers and invisalign to correct the gap in my teeth. I do have a slight overbite too. My preferred option would be to get a white cosmetic bonding for now too correct the gap and save for say one of the other products. Is this possibe? Or once the bonding is in is that it?,

Veneers look thick and odd in places. Is this normal or can something be done?

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010
Q.
I had veneers fitted to my teeth about 5 years ago and have found that although they are straight, I have noticed that if you look underneath they are very thick in places and look odd. Is this normal and can it be rectified? Thanks,
