The edge of my capped and veneered teeth is now badly stained. Can you advise on a treatment to replace this?

Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Q.
I had a cap and 4 enamel veneers fitted on the NHS about 15 years ago The edges of these are now badly stained and look awful ! I know it’s likely that I will need to pay for this to be rectified or at least look better. Can you suggest what treatment options there are to cure this. Also I’m not in a great financial position at the moment so I need it to be as inexpensive as possible. Thanks,

I am 62 and have been advised to have the Inman aligner for my two front crooked teeth instead of veneers. What would be the best route?

I am a 62yr old female and have 2 crooked front teeth I have been recommended to have fitted an Inman Aligner instead of veneers – I am concerned I may not be able to tolerate this in my mouth and removing it easy when eating etc – would this be the best route for me and would there be ongoing costs with this method,

I would like whitening and veneers to improve the look of my teeth after my side teeth were removed to close front tooth gap. Can you help?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
Q.
Hi I have a gap between my front teeth and my side teeth were removed so I had braces at 14 and my ‘I’ teeth are now my side teeth. I want all my teeth whitened and either veneers or crowns put on the top 4. I have heard bad reviews on veneers because they can just ping off at any time and this can measure quite costly. I don’t like the idea of crowns because they can look very false. I am very particular about my appearance and take pride in it. I don’t want to make any mistakes but I don’t know what options are available. I want perfectly straight white teeth with no gap. I’m not looking for american style gnashers but I want something I can be proud of. Right now I’m not too confident. Can you help? ,

Would I be able to get veneers to make my previously shaved down canine tooth look normal?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Tennet, when I was younger my dentist filed down my canine teeth (lord knows why but I was around 8 at the time and didn’t think to ask) and now I am left with what can only be described as flat canines. You have probably been asked this question a few times by various people but would it be possible to get veneers or similar in a fang esque shape? Not anything ridiculous or enormous but still something a little out of the ordinary. I would ask my regular dentist but I have a feeling he may judge me too prematurely! I live in the Brighton area, if this procedure is feasible would you know of any dentists that might carry out such a thing? Thank you very much. Kind Regards, ,

What is the best option to straighten my teeth? Would you advise I go with braces or veneers?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr, i just wanted to know what is the best option to have my teeth straightened as i am 36 years old and have landed a job as an events organiser. My main concern is if i have veneers fitted over my old teeth , will they be painful as time goes on? I would like my teeth straightened in a quick way and not something thats time consuming. Look forwards to your reply…….,

The temporary teeth I have as I wait for veneers/crowns seem to stick out. Can anything be done about this?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010
Q.
hello.. i currently have temporary teeth on my front 8 teeth awaiting to get my veneers/crowns placed on. i noticed that it seems to appear sometimes that my teeth stick out. is this due to the fact that the dentist did not shave down my tooth well or possibly because the temps are that way.. thank you. :),
